The Benefits Of A Mineral Mud Mask!!

Welcome back to the Alaska Glacial Mud blog. In our previous post, we talked about the specific minerals in our mud mask. We are going to do a short series of product highlight blogs. We like to throw the spotlight on our products because the natural quality of our mineral mud is what defines us as a company. It’s what we’re all about at Alaska Glacial Mud. We love helping people feel better and look their best, naturally. Today, we are going to take a look at our Glacial Facial Purifying Mineral Mud Masque, which is, of course, our flagship skin care product. You will not find a product better at removing the toxins in your skin than our mineral mud mask. By taking a look at the product description, we can see that our mineral mud mask is available in unscented, lavender-peppermint, vanilla-lavender (which is made with essential oils). Here’s a little more from the product description:
“Formula: Made with the most mineral-rich and pure glacial clay in the world, sustainably hand-carved from the remote waters of the Copper River Delta in Alaska and enriched with a special combination of certified organic and wildcrafted botanical extracts from the Pacific Northwest that are chosen for their moisturizing, skin-softening, anti-aging and immunoprotective properties.”
“Benefits: Our glacial mask detoxifies, exfoliates and softens skin while more than 60 nourishing major and trace elements promote healthy skin cell regeneration. Gentle and balanced for all skin types. Human-tested, allergy-free, does not cause irritation.”
You don’t have to go to Alaska to feel the relaxing effects of their mineral mud from the Copper River Delta. You can have a little bit of Alaska with you at home. Here’s what one of our clients said about our mineral mud mask recently:

"15 MINUTES TO BETTER SKIN"

"I recently purchased Alaska Glacial Mud and I couldn't be happier with my results. I applied the silken mud and waited the short period of time it took to dry. When I wiped away the dried mud with a warm washcloth I couldn't believe the difference in my skin! It was much smother and softer, and a few areas I was having breakouts in showed noticeable improvement. My results were well beyond my expectations and I definitely plan to re-order going forward. I highly recommend this product to anyone with a face."

10 Beauty Ingredients We Are Thankful For!!!

Like many of you, I spend November thinking about all for which I am thankful. Topping the list are my family, friends, good health and the fact that I have a job that I love. Which got me thinking about the beauty industry, and all of the super-healing, nourishing and downright luxurious ingredients that we have to be thankful for. Here, I’m sharing my list of beauty ingredients that deserve our thanks this season.
Coconut oil
There are about a thousand uses for this wonder ingredient, but used straight on the skin makes an amazing moisturizer for winter dryness, not to mention transports you immediately to a warmer (smelling) place.

Olive oil
This common cooking ingredient doubles as a frizz-control product during the dry winter weather. Simply put a dab on your hands, rub together and apply. Just be careful: Going overboard or you’ll risk looking greasy.

Grapeseed oil
Too much partying around the holidays? Gently place grape seed oil under the delicate skin beneath your eyes twice daily to eliminate unpleasant dark circles. It’s full of antioxidants and linoleic acid.

Rosehip seed oil
Extremely high in essential fatty acids, rich in vitamins and antioxidants, especially Vitamin C, Vitamin A (retinol) and linoleic acid, it can help with sun damage, hyper-pigmentation from an unexpected burn from the winter sun, eczema and psoriasis and lines/wrinkles. Plus it makes a great makeup remover!

Lavender Oil
This ultra-relaxing oil has serious aromatherapeutic properties. If you have trouble sleeping, mix a little with some water and spray on your pillow cases, or create the ultimate pampering soak by adding some to a warm bath.

Thieves oil blend
This mixture is made of clove, lemon, cinnamon, eucalyptus and rosemary. Make your own or buy from Young Living Essential Oils. This combination is great for winter flu season as it’s highly antibacterial, antiviral and anti-infectious — what’s not to love?

Honey
Feeling dehydrated? Honey is a natural humectant that helps your skin retain water. Mix into a DIY face mask or look for ingredients like moisturizer for an added power punch.

Lemons, Grapefruits and Oranges
These three faves are all Mediterranean winter fruits. Enjoy the in-season bounty with a tonic or flavored water. Staying hydrated will help your skin from the inside out.

Peppermint oil
Feeling a little sluggish? Put a dab between your eyes, as this oil promotes clarity, feelings of alertness and helps if you have an afternoon headache.

Avocado Oil
Great for cuticle treatment and keeping your fingers/nails looking sharp for all the holiday parties, simply rub onto your hands in the midst of a DIY manicure. Then slather on your favorite hue — might we suggest a festive red?

Take some time to give thanks this season, for these ingredients and all of the other blessings in your life. Talk about true beauty.
